YB Teo Nie Ching Deputy Minister of Education, Ministry of Education
Visits TM ONE Experience Centre
Kuala Lumpur, 26 Sept - TM ONE was humbled with the presence of Deputy Minister of Education, YB Teo Nie Ching at our TM ONE Experience Centre (TM ONE EC), in Menara TM ONE.
The discussion revolves around the nation’s aspirations in improving learning experience especially in schools. The importance of 21st Century Learning with the use of Smart Classroom that will encourage ubiquitous learning through the utilisation of vast technology that encourages fun learning, anywhere and anytime was the star of the show.
Acknowledging that the nation is already embarking towards Digital Transformation, Data Analytics was among the key topics discussed as well. Having Data Analytics embedded together in the realisation of the 21st Century Learning can help to ensure core processes in data management and student psychometric analysis are effectively managed throughout.
The dialogue also gave us a chance to discuss on the pain points the Education sector is currently facing such as student’s and educators’ lack of digital resources in school, lack of digital application for administration and learning, insufficient information flow, and etc.
The discussion escalated to how data analytics will enable the Ministry to have a better and improved planning with accurate information on schools and students performance. It also enables a comprehensive planning on resources such as the allocation of manpower, operational costing and other related matters.
The discussion also touches on the idea of having an Experience Centre for both students and educators that will act as:
- An environment that incites the nurture of practicing the latest technology in learning for students
- A training centre for educators, researcher, education innovators, and
- As a place that fosters behavioural change as they run their comprehensive change management program.
Sustainability is of the essence for the Education sector. The Ministry affirms for the sector to achieve a sustainable 21st Century Learning in the long run is to have a robust network that goes beyond connectivity that is capable of scaling and growing with the aspiration to meet the Ministry’s constant drive to improve learning and teaching experience for both its students and educators.
This historical date marks the interest of the Deputy Minister towards TM ONE’s pragmatic range of solutions for the Education Sector. She emphasised the importance of 21st Century Learning and aspires that improving learning is always at the top of the government’s agenda in the future of Education. The Ministry is looking forward to future collaborations with TM ONE, and on how both entities can work together to improve the nation’s learning and teaching experience of students and educators for the next generation to come.
