“If nobody has hacked your system, does that mean you can trust it?”

Shanti Jusnita, EVP of TM One
This question framed the message from Shanti Jusnita, Executive Vice President of TM One, at CyberDSA 2026, where TM One served as the Official Digital Partner.

Speaking ahead of the official opening address by Datuk Wilson Ugak Anak Kumbong, Deputy Minister of Digital Malaysia, Shanti highlighted a growing challenge: a system can remain secure from cyberattacks while still producing decisions that organisations cannot explain or confidently trust.

As AI becomes part of business and public service delivery, she called for a broader approach to cybersecurity that addresses the reliability of data, models and decisions.

From protection to assurance

Shanti illustrated this through a hypothetical banking transaction frozen by AI. The network remains uncompromised and security monitoring shows no attack, yet nobody can explain the decision.

For organisations, this raises questions beyond whether their systems are protected.

The Core Imperatives of Digital Trust

She described how TM Cyber Defence Centre (CYDEC) must increasingly help customers ask:
Question 1
“Can we trust the
data?”
Question 2
“Can we trust the
model?”
Question 3
“Can we trust the
decision?”
Before asking customers to take this step, TM started with itself. Shanti highlighted that TM became Malaysia’s first telecommunications company certified to ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for AI management systems.

Preparing for quantum across the enterprise

Shanti also urged organisations to consider how long today’s protections will remain dependable. Information stolen now could be stored for future decryption as quantum capabilities develop.

Her message was practical: quantum readiness requires organisations to understand where cryptography exists across their networks, applications, databases, cloud environments, servers and devices.

She shared TM’s progress from its commitment at the previous CyberDSA to completing the national post-quantum cryptography (PQC) sandbox for National Critical Information Infrastructure and moving into enterprise migration. Together with NACSA, TM is beginning to extend Malaysia’s experience and PQC migration framework into the region.

Bringing the conversation to the booth

TM One’s booth welcomed key defence leaders to explore four areas supporting digital resilience:
1

TM CYDEC

Defending the digital frontier and enabling digital trust.
2

AI Assurance

Securing AI, strengthening trust and defending against AI-powered threats.
3

Quantum Resilience

Identifying quantum risks and building readiness to support sovereign security.
4

IT Converge Observability

Bringing together observation, monitoring and analysis to deliver meaningful IT value.

Together, the showcase reinforced the business relevance of Shanti’s message - confidence in technology helps organisations innovate, digitise services and move critical workloads forward.
“Security protects value. Trust unlocks growth.
Assurance accelerates both.”
For TM One, CyberDSA 2026 was an opportunity to advance that conversation with the organisations helping shape Malaysia’s digital future.
